Buying an iPhone may seem like a simple task, but there are nuances in the selection. Apple labels its smartphones according to a specific system that allows you to determine whether the device is new, refurbished, or display, as well as to find out its model, color, and memory capacity.

What does the first letter in the iPhone article mean?

• M – new device;
• F – officially refurbished;
• N – warranty replacement (usually not sold in stores, but may be found among used ones);
• P – personalized smartphone with engraving;
• Number (2, 3, etc.) – demonstration version.

The full article contains three main components:

1. Model, color, and memory of the device.
2. Region code for which it was released.
3. Mark indicating sale in official Apple Store shops.

Region code: how to determine the market?

A special ending is added to the main article:

• UA/A – Ukraine
• LL/A – USA
• PK/A – Poland
• BT/A – United Kingdom
• Z/A, SU/A, FS/A – other countries

Additionally, iPhones for different markets may have differences in SIM cards. For example, in the USA, models are predominantly sold only with eSIM, while in Europe, options for SIM + eSIM are available, and in some Asian countries – Dual SIM.
